Glossary
To help you understand all the confusing Key Club lingo, we have made a glossary for you. Enjoy and have a sun shining day!
AAR - Annual Achievement Report. An annual report of a club"s performance, status, and health.
CNH District - California-Nevada-Hawaii District (Cal-Nev-Ha). The district that Division 30 South is apart of, which includes Key Clubs from the states California, Nevada, and Hawaii. A district is a collection of several regions. A region is a collection of several divisions.
D30S - Division 30 South. A division is a collection of several schools within an area.
DCM - Divisional Council Meeting. A monthly meeting where officers and members from individual Key Clubs within a division gather to get updates and announcements on projects, events, and statuses.
DCON - District Convention. An annual convention where Key Clubbers from the entire district (CNH District) come together for a weekend filled with spirit, fun, and learning. Many spirit battles and cheering take place, district officers are elected here, and workshops about Key Club are held within DCON.
DP - District Project Each district is assigned a certain focus for its projects, which is its district project. Our district project is "Project Shine: Bringing Light into Someone's Life."
ICON - International Convention. An annual convention where representatives from Key Clubs all across the world come together to demonstrate their spirit, learn about Key Club, and elect international officers. It's DCON on an international level.
KC - Key Club. Key Club is a high school student-led organization dedicated to community service and volunteering where members get to serve in their community and learn to be leaders.
MEP - Major Emphasis Project. All Key Clubs in the world are given a focus for their projects, which is the Major Emphasis Project. The current MEP is "Children: Their Future, Our Focus" which includes serving children in hands-on-service projects.
MRF - Monthly Report Form. A monthly report of a school Key Club"s status and performance for the month.
ORF - Officer Report Form. Each officer is required to fill out the Officer Report Form every month. The ORF contains a series of questions which the officers answer to convey their opinions and thoughts based on the club"s performance for the month.
